How we pick vibe coders
This list is computed from our maker profiles every time the site is built. A maker is included when:
- their tech stack lists an AI coding tool (Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, Windsurf, Lovable, Bolt.new, v0, Replit, Copilot, Rork), or
- their profile says they build with AI coding tools or agents, or call themselves a vibe coder, or
- they are tagged as a vibe coding maker.
We leave out makers who only sell tools to vibe coders or mention an AI tool in passing, and those whose claim a source contradicts. Makers who have since taken a full-time job appear grayed at the bottom. Missing someone? Submit a maker.

Who are the most successful vibe coders?
By self-reported revenue, the indie makers in our directory who build with AI tools include Julian Gargicevich, Kitze, Pieter Levels, Tony Dinh, Corey Haines. Revenue is usually for their whole business, not only the AI-built parts.
What tools do vibe coders use?
Among the 13 vibe coders whose tools we know, Claude Code is the most common (9), followed by Cursor (8), Codex (2), Lovable (1).
Can non-programmers become vibe coders?
Yes. Several makers here had no engineering background when they started, including Alex Finn, Riley Brown, Julie French and Ben Tossell, who calls himself a non-coder who builds anyway.
Who is the most famous vibe coder?
Pieter Levels is the best-known indie example: his AI-built flight game fly.pieter.com reported $1M ARR within 17 days in 2025 and led to Vibe Jam. Andrej Karpathy coined the term but is a researcher, not an indie maker.
