Corey Haines

Corey Haines is a SaaS marketer turned serial builder. He was the first marketing hire at Cordial and then head of growth at Baremetrics from late 2018 to 2020, where he ran marketing, sales and growth for the open-startup analytics company. In 2020 he went independent and started Swipe Files, a newsletter, community and course library that teaches founders and marketers how to build a sustainable SaaS marketing engine.

In July 2023 he launched Conversion Factory, a subscription-based product marketing and conversion agency for growing SaaS teams, which he says went from $0 to $1M ARR in about two and a half years. Alongside it he has built or co-built a string of products, including SwipeWell (a swipe-file tool for marketers), Truelist (email verification), Magister (an autonomous marketing agent), the Retext text expander for macOS and Coding for Marketers.

His biggest recent hit is Marketing Skills, an open-source collection of agent skills that teach Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and similar tools how to do CRO, copywriting, SEO, analytics and growth work. The GitHub repo has passed 50,000 stars and become one of the most widely used marketing skill packs for AI agents. He writes openly about his businesses, faith and learning in public on his blog and on X.
