Ask the Makers FAQ
What is Ask the Makers?
Ask the Makers is a question-answering tool built on IndieMakerList's 385 maker profiles (317 of them in-depth). It finds the profile facts most relevant to your question and writes a short answer that links to every maker it mentions.
Where do the answers come from?
Only from IndieMakerList profiles: bios, milestones, principles, FAQs, 1198 products, tech stacks and self-reported revenue. The answer engine is told not to use outside knowledge and to say so when the profiles don't cover a question.
Are the revenue numbers verified?
Revenue figures are self-reported by makers or taken from public sources linked on each profile; 79 makers currently have a revenue figure. Answers only repeat numbers that appear in the profiles, so always check the maker's profile for the original source.
Can I share an answer?
Yes. Every question has its own URL (for example /ask/?q=your+question). Use the Copy link button under an answer to share it; the link re-runs the question when opened.
