No longer an active indie maker. Building Founders School, the entrepreneurship high school track of Alpha School in New York. This profile is kept for the record.
Nat Eliason is a New York-based writer and entrepreneur best known for his long-running blog and newsletter, the SEO content agency Growth Machine, the crypto memoir Crypto Confidential and the science-fiction novel Husk. He is now building Founders School, the entrepreneurship high school track of Alpha School in New York.
Eliason built his early audience by writing about learning, productivity, philosophy and entrepreneurship, and by publishing notes on more than 250 books. From 2016 to 2018 his blog ranked at the top of Google for men's health topics, drawing millions of visitors a year. To monetize that traffic he paid a developer to build Stamena, a kegel exercise app linked from his posts. He has written that it earned about $380,000 over nine years, peaking at $5,000 to $10,000 a month, before he sold it to a buyer who reached out on X in September 2025.
Those SEO skills became Growth Machine, a content marketing agency that helped Fortune 500 companies and Y Combinator-backed startups rank on Google; he lists it as acquired in 2025. He also taught popular online courses, most recently Build Your Own Apps with AI, a vibe-coding course launched in January 2025 that teaches non-programmers to make their own tools.
Eliason's writing career moved into books: Crypto Confidential recounts his time in the crypto boom, Husk, a self-published post-apocalyptic sci-fi thriller, came out in May 2025, and the companion novella The Birth of Paradise followed in January 2026. In 2026 he also discussed building a near zero-employee company run by AI agents on OpenClaw on the Bankless podcast.
His main work now is Founders School, which launched in New York in fall 2026 as the entrepreneurship track of Alpha School, charging $150,000 a year and promising students graduate with $1 million in profit from their own businesses or get their tuition back. Because that role sits inside Alpha School rather than his own company, he is listed here as a former maker.
