London indie founder of Hovercode; built and sold Page Flows
Ramy Khuffash is a London-based indie founder who runs Hovercode, a dynamic QR code generator and analytics platform used by businesses to create, manage and track QR codes. Hovercode is a small, profitable UK company that he works on full-time and builds somewhat in public.
Before going independent, Ramy worked as a contract full-stack web developer in London and launched several side projects. His first real traction came from UI Movement, a weekly newsletter of UI animation inspiration that grew organically after a Product Hunt launch. It fed traffic to Page Flows, a library of recorded user flows from proven products that designers and product managers use to study onboarding, checkout and other patterns. Ramy has written about nearly quitting Page Flows before experimenting with pricing, moving from a cheap lifetime deal to quarterly subscriptions, until it became profitable on long-tail SEO traffic.
After running Page Flows for roughly six years, Ramy sold it in November 2023 and focused on Hovercode. He has talked about finding ideas through search intent rather than raw volume, making small bets carefully, and using landing pages instead of blog posts to capture search traffic.
His UK company Rocket Gems acts as a holding company for smaller products, including Linkjar, Inventory Scan, Typecard and Askbase.
