About Matt Pocock

Matt Pocock is a British developer educator best known for Total TypeScript, an exercise-driven course that became a go-to resource for learning advanced TypeScript, and for AI Hero, which teaches professional developers how to work with AI coding agents. Before programming, Pocock worked as a voice and singing coach, an experience that shaped the teaching style behind the courses.

Pocock moved into software as a full-stack developer and became a member of the XState core team at Stately, where work on XState's type generation led deep into TypeScript. In early 2022 Pocock began posting short TypeScript tips on X, announced an advanced course that April, and took a part-time developer advocacy role at Vercel to make room to build it.
