Romanian Java Champion selling the High-Performance Java Persistence book and tools
Vlad Mihalcea is a Java Champion from Cluj, Romania, a JPA and Hibernate expert, and one of the top committers to the Hibernate ORM project. He turned that expertise into an independent business, Hypersistence, which he runs as CEO.
His products include the High-Performance Java Persistence book and video course, which teach database access performance for Java developers, and Hypersistence Optimizer, a commercial tool that scans an application's JPA and Hibernate configuration and mappings and recommends changes to speed up the data access layer. He also maintains the open-source Hypersistence Utils library (formerly Hibernate Types).
Mihalcea built his audience through a long-running technical blog, a newsletter and conference talks, and sells training, workshops and his products directly from his site.
