About Bram Kanstein
Bram Kanstein is a Dutch entrepreneur and early-stage startup coach best known for Startup Stash, a curated directory of tools and resources for founders. Kanstein built it in 2015 while working for a tech investor, turning a personal collection of hundreds of bookmarked startup tools into a simple website made from a stripped-down WordPress directory template, without being a developer or designer.
Startup Stash became one of the most upvoted launches in Product Hunt history, drew hundreds of thousands of pageviews in its first two days and was featured by Forbes, Business Insider and Entrepreneur. It later earned a few thousand dollars a month from partnerships and affiliate placements before being sold to a Tel Aviv media company in November 2017. Around the same time Kanstein served as Product Hunt's European community lead and co-founded the Amsterdam growth agency Off The Record.
Kanstein went on to build and sell several more curation products with no-code tools such as Carrd, Airtable and Zapier, including the StartupWatching newsletter, the resource library Road to Scale, My Pitch Deck and Start with Magic, each reportedly sold for five figures. The approach was packaged into the No-Code MVP program and the MVP Canvas framework, and Kanstein has mentored founders at accelerators including Seedcamp and Techstars London.
In recent years the focus has shifted toward Bitcoin. Kanstein hosts the Bitcoin for Millennials podcast and YouTube show and writes about money, media and technology, while still describing themselves as a builder at heart.

Bram Kanstein wanted to clear his head space to focus fully on new projects and wanted cash up front to fund them, while making sure the newsletter ended up in good hands.

Kanstein says he mostly loves the part of taking an idea to a finished product, and treats what comes after as a bonus, which is why he has sold most of his projects.

How Bram builds
- The value of a product matters far more than its design or tech stack.
- Ask whether something should be built before asking whether it can be built.
- No-code is the fastest way to learn from real users; scaling problems are good problems.
- Turn what you are already curating for yourself into a product for others.
