About Akshay Saini
Akshay Saini is an Indian software engineer turned educator and the founder of NamasteDev, an edtech platform for web developers. Before teaching full time he worked as a software engineer at Paytm and Uber.
He became widely known for Namaste JavaScript, a free YouTube series that explains JavaScript internals such as the event loop, closures and hoisting in a calm, whiteboard style. The playlist became a go-to interview prep resource for developers across India and beyond, and his channel grew to millions of subscribers.
Saini turned that audience into a paid course business. NamasteDev sells in-depth, project-based programs including Namaste React, Namaste Node.js, Namaste Frontend System Design, Namaste DSA and Namaste AI, along with interview practice tools and a Discord community. The platform says he has taught more than two million students, built around his 'learn by building' philosophy.
