Zhenyi Tan

Zhenyi Tan is an independent developer in Singapore who publishes a collection of small, opinionated Apple-platform apps and browser extensions under the name And a Dinosaur. The apps are deliberately minimal, mostly paid up front, and state that they collect no personal data, with no ads, subscriptions or in-app purchases.

Current apps include Catsup, a grocery list that keeps bought items greyed out for reuse, Wallflower, a Safari extension that turns Reddit into a simple reader, Litterbox, which opens X links in a popup without sending cookies, Spool, a Safari extension that cleans up the Threads web app, Technotes, which adds community notes to Apple's developer documentation, and Teleplayer, a Mac app that AirPlays video playlists to an Apple TV. Earlier releases include Vinegar and Baking Soda, Safari extensions that replace YouTube's player with a plain one.
