Steve Troughton-Smith

Steve Troughton-Smith is an independent developer from Ireland who makes apps for iPhone, iPad and Mac under the High Caffeine Content name. He is widely followed in the Apple developer community for reverse-engineering upcoming platform features and for early experiments with technologies such as Mac Catalyst.

His apps include Broadcasts, an internet radio app with no accounts or tracking, Pastel, a library for collecting colour palettes, Coppice, a spatial canvas for linking ideas on the Mac, Take One, a digital clapperboard, and Grace, a picture-exchange communication app for people with autism or speech disabilities. He also sells source code snapshots of some projects on Gumroad and is supported by patrons.

He left X and is now active on Mastodon and his blog.
