Australian indie dev running a portfolio of 30+ simple iOS apps
Adam Lyttle is an Australian indie app developer who runs a portfolio of more than 30 active iOS apps under his company App All Day. Rather than betting everything on one product, he builds many small, single-purpose apps — scanners, converters, utilities and casual games — and grows them through App Store optimization and smart monetization.
His route into apps was unconventional. After his web development agency collapsed and left him in debt, he stepped away from tech and ran a lawn-mowing business before returning to building software. With no formal training, he taught himself by shipping one app a month for a year; early hits included a tarot app, and later a Pokémon card value scanner became one of his most-reviewed apps. He has described moving from ad-supported free apps to paywalls as the turning point for his revenue.
Lyttle shares his process openly on YouTube and X, and his "app portfolio" approach has inspired a wave of developers to try the same model. In a 2026 interview on RevenueCat's Launched podcast he described the business as reaching around $70K per month. He also experiments with playful projects such as Piano Run and the viral TikTok-inspired game Swipe the Cat.
