Nikhil Barik

Nikhil Barik is an indie macOS developer and former Yahoo engineer who builds small, one-time-purchase utilities for the Mac.

His best-known product is OmniNotch, a notch app that packs around twenty tools into the MacBook notch, including an on-device assistant, now-playing controls, a clipboard and a file shelf. OmniNotch launched in September 2026 and, according to its verified TrustMRR page, earned about $3.2K in its first month; the listing also marks it as for sale. He also sells TileMyMac, a window manager that keeps windows side by side and is built on the open-source Paneru engine, and Letra, a menu bar app that copies text from anywhere on screen using Apple's on-device Vision framework.

All three apps are sold as paid licenses rather than subscriptions.
