Michael Tsai

Indie Mac developer behind SpamSieve, EagleFiler and DropDMG at C-Command Software

About Michael Tsai

Michael Tsai is an independent Mac developer who founded C-Command Software in January 2002 to build Mac utilities and productivity apps. He started SpamSieve, his best-known app, after his website drew heavy junk mail that existing tools could not handle; it applies Bayesian filtering to Mac email clients and has been maintained for more than two decades.

C-Command's other products include EagleFiler, a digital filing cabinet and snippet collector, DropDMG for creating and working with Mac disk images, ToothFairy for quickly connecting AirPods and other Bluetooth devices, and BBAutoComplete. Before C-Command he edited and published the Mac e-zine About This Particular Macintosh.

Tsai is also widely read in the Apple developer community for his blog at mjtsai.com, where he compiles detailed link roundups and commentary on Mac and iOS development, the App Store and Apple platform news.
