About Matt Wolfe

Matt Wolfe is a San Diego-based YouTuber, entrepreneur and investor known for covering artificial intelligence news and tools. He founded Future Tools, a curated directory of AI tools and a twice-weekly newsletter, and runs one of the most popular AI news channels on YouTube.

Before AI, Wolfe spent more than a decade building online businesses around WordPress tutorials, blogging and online marketing, including The WordPress Classroom, which he started in 2009, along with projects such as Hammy Lab and Beginner Blogger and a long-running YouTube channel and podcast.

Future Tools began in late 2022 as a personal spreadsheet of AI tools he was testing. He turned it into a website built with Webflow and launched it on December 17, 2022, sharing the build in public on his blog. Within its first month it was averaging roughly 6,000 visitors a day, monetized at first through affiliate links, and it grew into one of the most visited AI tool databases. The site has since moved toward tighter curation, honest reviews and a newsletter that reaches more than 250,000 readers.

Wolfe also co-hosts The Next Wave podcast with Nathan Lands, interviews leaders at major tech companies, speaks at industry events and invests in AI startups including Replit, Leonardo.ai and Factory.
