Jack Butcher

Jack Butcher is a British-born designer, conceptual artist and one-person business builder who lives and works in Tennessee. After studying graphic design in Cardiff he moved to New York in 2010 and spent a decade as a creative director in advertising, eventually running an agency with his wife Celia.

Frustrated that every dollar of agency revenue required another hour of work, he walked away in January 2019 and started Visualize Value as a daily practice: one black-and-white image a day that distills an idea about business, leverage or creativity. The minimalist visuals spread widely on X and turned into an audience of hundreds of thousands.

Visualize Value became a product line of courses, tools, art and merchandise. His courses, including How to Visualize Value, The Permissionless Apprentice and Build Once, Sell Twice, teach productizing knowledge instead of selling hours, and have reached tens of thousands of learners. He later moved into digital art, launching the Checks and Opepen editions in 2023 and exhibiting at Art Basel and Paris Photo.
