Lummi is an AI image platform offering free stock photos, illustrations and editing tools such as background removal and image-to-video, co-founded in 2023 by designer Pablo Stanley and Jason Donnette.
In June 2025 Udemy announced it had acquired Lummi to give its instructors AI-generated illustrations and design assets for their courses. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The Lummi team joined Udemy's Innovation Studio, instructors were offered Lummi Pro access, and Udemy began integrating the technology into its platform and Instructor Academy.
