Why they sold: Arvid Kahl said Audiohook had already been a close partner and customer, and that joining it gave Podscan resources to build the roadmap much faster than he could alone.

The story of Podscan

Podscan is a podcast intelligence platform that transcribes and monitors podcasts for brand mentions, contextual categories, brand suitability and sentiment. Arvid Kahl, previously known for selling FeedbackPanda, built it as a solo founder and documented the journey publicly.

Audiohook, an audio advertising company, first worked with Podscan as a customer and partner. The acquisition of Podscan Inc. closed on August 24, 2026; according to Audiohook, the platform was analyzing more than 70,000 podcast episodes a day at the time.

Kahl joined Audiohook to oversee the technical transition and future development of the product. Audiohook said it would make most of Podscan's data available to the industry for free, and the product continues as Podscan by Audiohook.
