The story of Level Up Tutorials
Level Up Tutorials is a web development video tutorial library that Scott Tolinski co-created in March 2012 and later ran alone, publishing thousands of free YouTube videos and premium courses sold through a paid subscription.
In April 2023, on the 600th episode of the Syntax podcast he co-hosts with Wes Bos, Sentry announced that Syntax was joining the company. As part of the deal Sentry said it would bring Level Up Tutorials into the new Syntax platform and make the tutorials free. Terms were not disclosed.
After the deal the paid subscription ended, the library was made freely available, and Tolinski's YouTube channel was rebranded as the Syntax channel.
