Katie Keith

Katie Keith is a WordPress entrepreneur best known as the co-founder and CEO of Barn2 Plugins, which sells premium WordPress and WooCommerce plugins such as WooCommerce Product Table and Document Library Pro. Barn2 published total plugin revenue of $1,699,326 for 2024, and Keith is one of the most transparent founders in the WordPress product world.

Keith's background is in marketing and project management. Around 2010 Katie and her husband Andy Keith, an experienced software developer, started a web design agency called Barn2 Media, building WordPress sites for clients. Client requests kept pointing to the same gaps in WooCommerce, so in early 2016 they released their first plugins, WooCommerce Protected Categories and Posts Table Pro, and began trading as Barn2 Plugins. Within six months plugin sales let them stop taking client work.

WooCommerce Product Table went on to sell well over $1 million on its own. Barn2 grew into a fully remote team of about 20 people across many countries, with a portfolio of around 20 premium plugins, and passed $7 million in lifetime plugin sales with over 90,000 users. Its 2024 transparency report showed 18,410 sales, a 12% revenue increase, and the sale of five plugins to Kestrel. WooCommerce Product Filters was named Extension of the Year at the 2024 Seshie Awards.

In mid-2024 Andy stepped back from day-to-day work to become a non-executive director, leaving Katie Keith to run the company. Keith moved from England to Mallorca, Spain, and in October 2024 Barn2 decided to diversify beyond WordPress into Shopify apps. Keith also co-hosts the WP Product Talk podcast about selling WordPress products.
