The startup meme king: co-founded Logology, runs LaunchDay, wore a 26-sponsor wedding suit
Dagobert Renouf is a self-taught developer and designer from Lille, France, known across the indie hacker world as the startup meme guy. After roughly a decade freelancing in web development and UX for remote clients, he co-founded Logology in 2018 with his wife Lucie, a service that gave early-stage startups affordable logos and branding: she designed, he coded.
Logology launched into the pandemic and struggled, until in 2021 Dagobert started posting one startup meme and one honest build-in-public tweet every day while replying to hundreds of others. His audience grew past 100K followers and Logology's revenue rose about sevenfold year over year, but it plateaued at a few thousand dollars a month. After five years and more than $100K of their own savings, the couple shut Logology down in 2024, and he wrote openly about the decision.
He turned his Twitter playbook into a course, co-hosted the This Indie Life podcast about the emotional side of entrepreneurship, and launched LaunchDay, a launch platform for indie makers. In 2025 he went viral worldwide for funding his wedding by selling ad space on his tuxedo to 26 indie startups; one sponsor, Comp AI, hired him in sales, and he still runs LaunchDay on the side.

Logology was shut down in 2024 after five years; it grew strongly on the back of his Twitter audience but never became large enough to sustain the couple.
He paid for his wedding by selling ad space on his tuxedo to 26 indie startups, a story picked up by media worldwide, and one sponsor then hired him.
