Christian Tietze

Christian Tietze is an independent Mac software developer based in Bielefeld, Germany. With Sascha Fast he co-founded zettelkasten.de, a long-running site about the Zettelkasten note-taking method, and together they conceived The Archive, a plain-text note-taking app for macOS that Tietze programs on his own.

The Archive, released in 2018, stores notes as plain text files with fast incremental search and links between notes, and works with existing file sync such as Dropbox or iCloud rather than its own service. Tietze also makes TableFlip, a Mac editor for Markdown tables, WordCounter, a writing-progress tracker, and the iOS app CalPaste. He writes regularly about Swift and macOS development on his blog.
