Developer behind Feedbin, the paid RSS and newsletter reader running since 2013
Ben Ubois is a San Francisco developer who created Feedbin, a paid web-based reader for RSS feeds, email newsletters and other web content. He built it so he could read his own feeds all day at work, and launched it in 2013, around the time Google Reader shut down.
Feedbin is run as a tiny independent company: Ubois handles development and works with designer Todd J. Collins. It is funded entirely by subscriptions, and the company stresses that customers are also its users, so their reading data is not mined or sold.
Over the years Feedbin has added newsletter inboxes, YouTube and podcast support, a browser extension and Airshow, its podcast app, which received a 3.0 redesign in 2026. Ubois also open sourced Feedbin's codebase.
