About Andrew Pepperrell
Andrew Pepperrell is a UK-based developer and designer who created Alfred, an award-winning productivity app for the Mac that combines search, hotkeys, keywords, workflows, clipboard history and text expansion. In 2010 he and his wife Vero Pepperrell founded Running with Crayons Ltd in Cambridge and launched Alfred, drawing on their years of UX and UI work.
Alfred became one of the best-known independent Mac utilities, monetized through the paid Powerpack upgrade that unlocks workflows and advanced features, plus Alfred Remote for iOS. The company describes Alfred as handcrafted by a small independent team, and the couple have run it for more than 15 years.
Outside Alfred, Pepperrell makes electronic music, plays video games and tinkers with RC projects.
