Steph Ango

Steph Ango, known online as kepano, is the CEO of Obsidian, the local-first note-taking and knowledge-base app. Obsidian is funded entirely by its users rather than venture capital, a model Ango has written about in essays such as 100% user-supported and File over app.

Before leading Obsidian he became known in its community for building the popular Minimal theme and related plugins, and he has also released Flexoki, an ink-inspired color scheme, and helped build the official Obsidian Web Clipper. Earlier in his career he co-founded consumer and design product companies.
