Shahjahan Jewel

Shahjahan Jewel (Md Shahjahan) is a Bangladeshi software developer and entrepreneur best known as the founder and CEO of WPManageNinja, the company behind FluentCRM, Fluent Forms, Ninja Tables, FluentSMTP, FluentCart and a growing family of WordPress plugins that the company says run on more than 1.8 million sites.

Jewel started working with WordPress while still a student and spent years as a developer before turning to products. He runs WPManageNinja from Sylhet in north-eastern Bangladesh, and the company was early to show that a plugin business there could compete with the biggest names in the WordPress market.

The company's breakout was Fluent Forms, a fast form builder developed around 2018 that won a following through lifetime deals and frequent releases. FluentCRM followed in 2020. It began as an internal tool rather than a planned product: the team needed a self-hosted email marketing and CRM system inside WordPress, built one, and then released it. It became one of the most popular CRM options in the WordPress ecosystem. By late 2020 the team had about 30 people, roughly 50% more than a year earlier.

Since then WPManageNinja has turned into a full suite of business software that runs inside WordPress: Fluent Support for help desks, FluentBooking for scheduling, FluentBoards for project management, FluentCommunity for communities and courses, FluentCart for e-commerce, Paymattic for payments and donations, WP Social Ninja, and free tools such as FluentSMTP, FluentSnippets and FluentAuth. Jewel has described the company's growth from four employees to more than 110; WordCamp Dhaka listed the team at over 115 in 2025.

Jewel matters to indie makers because the Fluent suite shows how a small team outside the usual startup hubs can build self-hosted alternatives to expensive SaaS tools and sell them worldwide on top of an open-source platform.
