Miquel Palet

Miquel "Miki" Palet is a Barcelona-based founder best known for Zernio, formerly called Late, a unified API that lets developers and AI agents publish, schedule and manage content across more than 14 social networks through a single integration. After leaving Ucademy, the venture-backed company Palet co-founded, Palet bootstrapped Zernio to $1 million in annual recurring revenue in about ten months.

Palet has been building companies since 18, and dropped out of university in the final year to build Ucademy, a Spanish online-education company that took the venture capital route and grew to more than 120 employees. After roughly three years there, and about five years in the startup world in total, Palet left to build something small, self-funded and developer-focused.

The idea came from repeated pain while building other products: every app that posted to social media had to deal with a dozen different OAuth flows, rate limits and API changes. Palet launched the product as Late at getlate.dev, a social media API priced as self-serve SaaS with a free tier and monthly plans from $19, aimed at developers, agencies and the growing number of AI agents and automation tools that need to post on users' behalf.

Growth came from bottom-of-funnel SEO and developer documentation, paid ads, YouTube videos, creator partnerships and frequent feature launches. FounderBase featured Late at $40,000 and then $80,000 in monthly revenue; by July 2026 Indie Hackers reported the renamed Zernio above $83,000 a month and $1 million ARR with a team of four developers and one marketer. In 2026 Palet repositioned Zernio as marketing infrastructure for products and agents, adding ads, WhatsApp, messaging and calls to the same API.

Palet's path, from a venture-backed edtech to a lean bootstrapped API business, is a good example of founders using the AI-agent boom to build picks-and-shovels infrastructure rather than another end-user app.
