Csaba Kissi

Csaba Kissi is a full-stack developer and serial indie maker from Slovakia who calls himself the Coding Dinosaur, a nod to more than 25 years of programming. He runs his projects through his company Elerion and has built one of the larger indie maker audiences on X, with over 250K followers.

His first big success was Download3000, a software downloads directory he built in plain PHP and MySQL on cheap shared hosting. He grew it with SEO reverse-engineering of competitors, automated VirusTotal scans of tens of thousands of programs, and embeddable plugins for WordPress, Joomla and PHP-Nuke that syndicated the catalog and generated backlinks across thousands of sites. Monetized with AdSense, it was the core of what he reports as more than $3M in lifetime online revenue.

Since then he has shipped more than 200 smaller projects, many of them free or freemium tools for designers and developers: the Colorion family of color, gradient, button and CSS loader generators, TablerIcons.com, Iconsax, TailwindWidgets, SQLZap, HTML Email Templates, Invoice Generator and several WordPress products. His current focus is Featurenest, a feature request and roadmap tool, and ProjectClip, a Product Hunt alternative.
