Casey Liss

Casey Liss is an independent iOS developer, writer and podcaster based near Richmond, Virginia. He is best known in the Apple community as a co-host of the Accidental Tech Podcast (ATP) with Marco Arment and John Siracusa, a weekly show that grew out of the 2013 miniseries Neutral, and as co-host of Analog(ue) with Myke Hurley on Relay since 2014.

After years as a professional developer he went independent and began shipping his own apps. Vignette, released in 2019, found contact photos from social media and was the first app he conceived and finished as an indie; it was later retired. He followed it with Peek-a-View and, in 2022, MaskerAid, an app for hiding faces in photos with emoji.

His best-known app is Callsheet, a fast, ad-free alternative to IMDb for looking up movies, TV shows, cast and crew. He made the first commit in January 2023 and shipped it to the App Store that summer, with a subscription model instead of ads. Callsheet later gained a native Apple Vision Pro version in 2024. Liss writes openly about the process of building and running his apps on his blog, Liss is More.
