About Marc Edwards
Marc Edwards is the founder and designer of Bjango, a self-funded Australian software studio best known for iStat Menus, the long-running Mac menu bar app for monitoring CPU, memory, disk, network, sensors and battery. Bjango began as a couple of friends making free Dashboard widgets for OS X, and iStat Menus 1.0 shipped in May 2007; the company has said it has been self-funded since day one.
Edwards has spent years building Skala, a planned UI and icon design tool. Along the way Bjango released parts of it as standalone apps, including Skala Preview, which shows pixel- and colour-accurate design previews on devices, and Skala Color, a colour picker, so those modules could be tested in the real world.
He writes in-depth articles on design workflows, colour management and app design on the Bjango site, and also makes music and YouTube videos.
