About Chris Hunt

Chris Hunt is a game developer and the founder of Lo-Fi Games, a small studio based in Bristol, UK. He is the creator of Kenshi, a brutal open-world squad RPG in a 'sword-punk' wasteland, and one of indie gaming's best-known long-haul solo projects.

Hunt founded Lo-Fi in 2006 and started Kenshi around that time, working part time as a security guard to pay the bills. After about five years, early sales let him quit and work on it full time; he worked alone until 2013, when he hired a small team. Kenshi was one of the first games in Steam's early access program in March 2013 and fully released on 6 December 2018.

Kenshi passed one million copies in 2020 and three million by May 2026. Lo-Fi is now developing Kenshi 2, a prequel in Unreal Engine announced in 2019.
