Supportman was built by Damon Chen and sold to Tettra in 2024.
Supportman is a small SaaS that sends Intercom CSAT ratings and support metrics to Slack in real time, so support teams can follow up with unhappy customers quickly. Damon Chen built it, and he later described it as the first startup he ever sold.
According to the startup database Gaps, Chen put Supportman up for sale in July 2023, when it made about $660 in MRR, with a $35,000 asking price. The final price was not disclosed.
Tettra, an AI knowledge-base company for support teams, announced in November 2024 that it had acquired Supportman. Tettra said it would leave the product in place for existing users apart from new branding, and would look at AI-assisted coaching and support for help desks beyond Intercom.
